Shaan all set for a musical Hungama

But that’s exclusively for his bundle of joy, one-year-old baby boy, Soham.Yes, Shaan was on a long vacation with his family and now he wants to come back with other <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">shaandaar</span> hits after a gap of a few months.<br /><br />“For the last few months, I was not in the music circuit. I was busy with my family, went abroad on a vacation. So, I couldn’t even perform. But now I am back,� said Shaan, who was in the city on Wednesday for a fashion show at the Oberoi Grand. <br /><br />After the success of his album <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Tanha Dil</span>, which stayed on MTV charts for a record number of weeks and went on to bag the MTV Asia award in the ‘Favourite Indian Artiste — Pop Category’ in 2002, Shaan is now busy with his next pop album. <br /><br />“This album will come up by the end of this year, the name of which has not been finalised yet. It will be a collection of my best tracks powered by some deadly beats and will be different from the previous ones,� he said.<br /><br />Apart from this, he is busy with his playback singing and waiting for his forthcoming releases <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Hungama</span> and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Qayamat</span>. “Though now I am more focussed on playback singing, Indipop and remixes are my other priorities.�<br /><br />"After the success of remix albums like <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Instant Karma</span> and three <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Dance Masti</span> albums, I am working for the fourth <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Dance Masti</span> album with numbers like <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Pyar manga hai tumhise</span> etc,� he said Shaan is now working with almost all top of the line music composers Adesh Srivastava, A. R.Rahman, Shankar Ehsan Loy, Anu Malik others. <br /><br />“I am getting offers from eminent music composers and learning a lot from them. After the major success of <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Musu musu hasi</span> from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi</span>, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">O Re Kanchi</span> from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Asoka</span>,<span style="" font-style:="" italic=""> Rama re</span> from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Kaante</span>, and, of course, the numbers from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Dil Chahta Hai</span>, I am looking for more such hits, for which people will remember me,� he signed off.<br /><br />subhra.sircar@timesgroup.com</div> </div>
